Basic Care of Exotics

Our Practice cares about all animals big and small, we aim to give your pet the best treatment possible. At Payneham Vet Centre we can do the basic care for most exotic animals, including birds, rabbits, rodents and some reptiles. These services include:

• Vaccination of rabbits for calicivirus
• General health checks
• Nutritional advice
• Surgery and anaesthesia of rabbits, including desexing
• Microchip implantation
• Digital radiology and ultrasound
• Pathology testing (both in house and also with an external accredited Laboratory)
• Limited behavioural advice
• Wing and nail clips

If any further treatment is needed, then referral to a specialist exotics vet is an option.
